The Champions Legaue final is here as our football expert shares betting tips for the clash between Manchester City and Inter in the final game of the European football season.

Manchester City v Inter (Saturday 20:00 UTC+01:00)

Manchester City are on the cusp of greatness as they travel to Istanbul looking to win their first Champions League trophy to face Inter.

These two sides have never faced each other in a competitive game, with the last friendly meeting coming back in 2011 in Dublin, Ireland.

Each of the last three Champions League finals have ended 1-0, a repeat of that score is 7.50 in City’s favour, and  17.00 for Inter to win by a solitary goal.

Manchester City (1.48) are looking to become the eighth team to win the continental treble in European football, the third British team after Celtic in 1967 and Manchester United in 1999. Having seen off their city rivals in the FA Cup final at Wembley last weekend, Pep Guardiola’s side could round off an incredible season.

This will be the Spaniard’s fourth Champions League final as a manager, and will look to become only the third manager to win at least three titles, alongside Bob Paisley, Carlo Ancelotti and Zinedine Zidane.

The 4-0 mauling of Real Madrid last month highlighted the potential shift in European football finally away from the Spanish side, and into the hands of a dominant force in English football.

Champions League football is already secured for Inter next season, having finished third in Serie A. They saw off their closest rivals with relative ease in a fiery double-header at the San Siro in the semi-finals and Simone Inzaghi will be wondering why not them ahead of this game.

With the Coppa Italia secured already, it would be Inter’s greatest season since they secured the treble in 2010, including the Champions League. The three-time European Cup / Champions League winners are 6.58 to win in ordinary time in this one.

Extra time and penalties haven’t been seen in the final of the Champions League since 2016, and is surely one to keep an eye on if Inter can stifle their English opponents.
